Staying Beautiful Despite the Quarantine

Since Spring Break, everything has been turned upside down. As we finished our mini vacation and prepared to send the children back to school, we got the news that schools were closing due to the corona virus. Other things closed down too. Like the libraries and parks. Then we hear that Shelter in Place rules were being put into place.
As a mother and wife, I have mixed feelings on this. After all, being trapped at home with 4 highly active children for going on 7 weeks already, is quite draining. The only times we leave the house are to go grocery shopping or maybe to the Dollar Tree. This kind of shut in status has me feeling that maybe getting dolled up is a waste of time. I've even weighed the pros and cons of shaving! That is how serious it has been. I'm one of those people who can't stand not shaving for more than 3 days. Just don't like the hairy stubble feels. However, I am not one to want to stay drab and hairy for long. Even if all I do is swipe on some mascara, I want to look my best from time to time. It is a reminder that this won't last forever and I can look beautiful for my husband in the meantime.

*Disclaimer: I was sent these products free of charge in exchange for my virtual party and honest review. I was not otherwise paid or endorsed. All opinions are strictly my own.*
So where is this talk coming from? I have been chosen to host a virtual party for Silk'n through my association with Tryazon. They sent me quite the party pack. It came with their permanent hair removal device in its very own case, a beauty bag, some lotion and a headband. It has inspired me to want to beautify myself more during these times. After all, summer is still coming! Pool time, and hopefully, a family vacation.
Why Silk'n?

Why not?! Permanent hair removal always sounded like a hassle. Until now. This process is much simpler. It doesn't require growing the hair out long and then laser removal. Or hot wax. You shave before the treatment, wipe the area clean and dry, use the device (moving it after each flash of light) and finish by lathering on lotion. Voila! Silky smooth results. It works on facial hair below the cheek bones, upper lip, chin, arms, underarms, legs, and bikini line. There are 5 adjustable energy levels. It uses galvanic energy to open the pores. Then optical energy destroys the roots. And finally, the pores are temporarily kept opened to allow moisturizer to fill in for smooth, softer and stubble free skin. The light converts to heat quickly and is therefore not on your skin long. This light will not flash in open air. Only once against the skin. Which is protection for the eyes. The treatment surface is pretty large at 1.7cm. They also have the safety skin color sensor. If you are putting it on a setting that is too high for your skin tones, it won't work. No refills required! It comes with a lifetime of treatments.
Silk'n Infinity currently runs for about $400. Plus, free shipping.
How often do you treat?

Every 2 weeks for 8 weeks. Between 4-6 weeks is when you will notice changes. There may be patches and bald spots in the beginning. It is permanent, as you continue the treatments. Every couple of weeks you do a follow up treatment to keep the hair away. Unfortunately, permanent hair removal isn't permanent as in after 8 weeks you never have to do it again. That just isn't a thing yet. However, you will not have to shave ever again!

What else should you know?

Silk'n has a promise that is very important. ACES - Affordable, Convenient, Effective and Safe. Using this device saves you thousands of dollars on spa treatments, which makes it affordable. It provides freedom from shaving, waxing and laser treatments. No more shaving creams, razors, wax treatments, or spa treatments. You buy the device once and use it whenever, wherever you want. The convenience is astounding. I prefer showering and treating right before bed. It is highly effective in hair removal, so you don't have to do it all the time. Once every 2 weeks! Safety features keep it from burning your skin or causing other damage. You can't blind yourself with it and it won't work if the setting doesn't match the skin pigment.

Don't use it after sun exposure as your skin is more sensitive. On tattoos or dark moles as the pigment is darker and will darken further. Don't use it on the genital areas as they are more sensitive. Don't use it if you have a pacemaker, are pregnant or breastfeeding. These last things are simply because they have not run clinical tests. It doesn't work so well on peach fuzz. It looks for pigment in the hair follicles. So if the color range isn't right, it won't know there is hair to treat.

What else do they offer?

They have devices for Anti-Aging, Microdermabrasion, Cellulite reduction, Acne treatment and even some pedi care! A little something for everyone's beauty needs. Spas and gyms are closed indefinitely. But that doesn't mean that beauty has to be put on hold!
